About me

Thinking about having counselling maybe for many different reasons, such as stress, panic, anxiety, depression, loss, loneliness, grief & bereavement, relationships, lack of confidence or illness.
Or you may be wishing to work on your personal development, such as improving your self-esteem, building confidence or overcoming your fears. Working together through exploration and awareness can lead to lasting changes that you may wish to see in yourself.

I offer a relaxed and non-judgmental space for you, which is confidential, safe and supportive. Here we can work together to build a therapeutic relationship, explore problems that can help bring clarity and awareness or move towards personal changes that you maybe looking for. I offer both short term and long term therapy incorporating CBT, where appropriate.

I am a qualified integrative counsellor & psychotherapist, which means that I combine approaches from different schools of counselling & psychotherapy to help build a therapeutic relationship which is individual to each client.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an accredited member of the BACP and on the BACP Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.

I work both in private practice as an integrative counsellor at treehouse counselling and as a Counselling Caseworker at Royal Holloway University London. Previously as a counsellor for Woking & Sam Beare Hospices, specialising in bereavement and grief counselling for their Adult and Children's counselling services.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
