I offer individual assessment and treatment based on broadly CBT model but I have a particular interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

I am a Principal Clinical Psychologist and an Associate Fellow Of The British Psychological Society. I have been working in the NHS for 25 years.
I am trained in a number of psychological therapies based on a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) model. I have been trained in Mindfulness and in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am trained in Behaviour Family Therapy - an intervention to help families with a family member suffering from severe mental health problems. My work has spanned a range of severity of psychological problems including working with clients with mild to very severe mental health difficulties. I have taught on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology course in Edinburgh. I work with Sports Mind Scotland. You can find out more about their work at www.sportsmindscotland.com

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

Health and Care Professions Council
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
