About me

I am a BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) registered counsellor, offering a warm and friendly, face to face and online counselling service in St Albans and surrounding areas, working with both adults and young people.

This may be the first time you are considering placing your trust in another to help you or your young person navigate the difficulties that you or they may be facing in life right now.

You may have decided that now is the right time for you to seek help but searching for the right therapist may seem like an intimidating task.  Please feel that you can contact me with the knowledge that my practice is confidential, non-judgemental and a safe place to find your voice and move forward.  Working together we will explore the possible root causes, and process unresolved issues that, perhaps have not been dealt with before. Together we will look to find solutions to manage and cope with the difficult thoughts and feelings you are experiencing, which are causing you to feel confused anxious, low or depressed.

Training, qualifications & experience

My training is as an integrative counsellor which means I can offer a range of approaches and techniques to meet your needs and your circumstances, to enable you get as much out of your sessions as possible.

I have a Diploma In Therapeutic Counselling: 2023

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
