About me

I am an experienced BACP Accredited Person Centred therapist based in Warwick offering individual face-to-face, online or telephone counselling for adults (18 years and over). I work in a relaxed, collaborative and non-judgemental way.

I am also a Life Coach, which means I can help you to overcome your challenges, achieve your goals and make positive changes in a structured, dynamic and practical way. As I’m trained in both disciplines, you can opt for counselling or coaching or we can use elements of both approaches as needed.

I have experience of working with a wide range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, low self-worth, sexuality and gender issues, relationship issues, grief, illness, work-related stress, abuse, trauma and other life-changing events.

Although, I mainly work in a person-centred way, I use whatever counselling and coaching styles will be most helpful to you. My aim, is to work with you in a holistic and results driven way, focusing on the root causes of issues (not just the symptoms) to help you get to where you want to be as efficiently and effectively as possible.

I generally take a non-directive and collaborative approach because I believe everyone is the expert of their own internal world. However, I am aware that sometimes people come to therapy because they can't  "see the wood for the trees". Therefore, I can also offer clients coping strategies, psychological tools, insights and suggestions for you to take on board as you see fit.

I also offer reiki (energetic healing).

Please browse through my website and contact me if you feel I can help you.

Fees: £55 per individual counselling and/or coaching session (60 minutes).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
