Hello and Welcome,
I am a BACP registered Counsellor and as such, work within the BACP's ethical framework. At the present time I offer counselling to adults/older adults, and am happy to support you in finding your own answers, whether that be through long or short term focused work. Though guided primarily by the principles of Carl Rogers' Person Centred Approach, I am able to work with Gestalt, TA and Integrative models which means we can work flexibly to suit your therapeutic needs.
I offer you a warm, supportive and confidential space where we can work at your pace, exploring those matters important to you. You may be feeling anxious or depressed, worthless or stressed - or perhaps you are seeking closure or acceptance at the end of a relationship or bereavement? Wherever you find yourself right now, know that things can change. By reaching out and sharing our concerns in a safe, non-judgemental environment, we can often experience a shift in how we view our situation or relationship/s and this enables us to move forwards with new understanding - both in terms of ourselves as well as others.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Prior to re-training in Counselling I have worked extensively with adults and children in a number of different roles. I have gained experience working with the elderly, both those experiencing loneliness and isolation, as well as those living with Dementia and/or life-limiting illnesses. In the past I worked with children on the Autistic Spectrum in an educational environment, later moving on to work with vulnerable children and their families as part of my role in West Sussex Children's Services. Most recently, up until June 2019, I offered counselling through the Patient & Family Support Team at St Catherine's Hospice, Crawley - and I currently see clients at Carers Support, Crawley as well as in my Private Practice based in Haywards Heath and Crawley.
