I am a qualified and practising Counsellor, who works with all ages but specialises in working with children and adolescents and their parents/carers. My integrative training means that I have a variety of modalities on which to draw upon, including using the arts and creativity to enable and open up communication.
I offer my clients a confidential and safe space in which to talk about, unravel and explore the areas of difficulties in their lives. This could be a present issue, such as a relationship breakdown, a bereavement or longer underlying problems such as anxiety, depression or low mood.
You may also wish to use the space to look at where you are going in life, perhaps you feel stuck professionally and would like to explore what it is in you that is holding you back. I have helped people with a wide range of issues which include post traumatic stress, eating disorders, self harm, abuse, addictions and many others.
I work from a person centred standpoint which is a highly empathic, non judgemental and sensitive way of working. In the safe space that this opens up, worries and concerns may be unravelled and understandings reached that come from deep within yourself. Through this process of self discovery you may find a different set of personal resources to draw upon and use to help you through life’s difficulties. My Integrative training means that I have a range of models and ways of working to draw upon, so I can tailor therapy to suit individual need.
I offer both long term work as well as shorter term, focused solution based work where appropriate.
I work with adults, young adults, children and can also see parents/carers with their children.
