About me

I have a private therapy room in Hutton close to Shenfield and Billericay. I offer face to face and zoom sessions.
I work with a range of difficulties from anxiety and depression, attachment problems, relational difficulties, addictions, and more severe trauma based problems.
I offer a relational approach; meaning we do the work together, and at your pace. As you begin to trust in the process we delve deeper into the issues that are impacting your life.
I am a very experienced Psychotherapist. and supervise students and qualified practitioners .
I have provided psychotherapy within social care, and created and managed a Camhs service within a school for emotional and behavioural difficulties. Following this I consulted for, and clinically supervised a team of psychotherapists in a similar school. I worked as a clinician for The Priory in their outpatient department.
My private practice is safe, confidential and containing.
I am also a skilled and experienced supervisor and offer individual supervision and group consultation within professional services.

Member organisations

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I have completed a certificate in somatic trauma training and I'm very interested in the effects of trauma on the mind and body and how it impacts the present.
I also tutored students for the duration of their two-year mother and baby observation. I am keenly interested in attachment and child development and the effects that continue into adult life.
