About me

Hello, thank you for looking at my profile.

I am an experienced private and NHS Therapist who works with Trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, Panic, OCD, Abuse, Depression, Phobias, Eating Disorders and Fibromyalgia. I work from a neurobiological (mind and body) perspective using a number of therapies to suit individual needs, and therapy techniques recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE). I would be pleased to talk to you about what will help.

If you feel stressed and anxious or depressed and want to feel better I can help you to understand and develop skills to management your mood and anxiety. I have learned approaches over a 30 years period of working with a wide range of emotional and mental health problems. Using various therapies such as CBT and EMDR we can find the root cause of your problem and make significant shifts that are transformative and life changing.

I offer a calm, supportive listening ear, where I seek to understand and not judge, alongside skills and techniques to help you cope and change.

I can help with this by telephone, WhatsApp or Zoom so you can be in the comfort of your own home.

I have a special interest in how we cope with stress and anxiety by self soothing with substances or binge eating and develop obesity and other eating disorders. We often use food or other methods as a coping strategy to manage life ups and downs and mood fluctuations. I am involved with ongoing training with the National Centre for Eating Disorder working on a Master Practitioner level training programme.

Working as a mental health professional and as a Yoga teacher for many years has brought me a great deal of experience of how the body holds emotions in the form of pain and tension and conditions such as fibromyalgia and ME and have had good outcomes helping people with these conditions using a combination of approaches.

Please call or email me to take the first step to a more confident and content future.
