About me

Supporting people through the various problems they encounter in life has been the cornerstone of my work as a mental health professional for well over 25 years. I have   trained in a number of key therapies and combine them with counselling, cognitive behaviour therapy, EMDR trauma therapy and hypnosis to help with fibromyalgia, stress, generalised anxiety disorder, panic attacks, depression, OCD and PTSD and addictions.   I am a qualified Yoga teacher and use relaxation techniques and a mindfulness approach to compliment talking therapy. I currently work in private practice as well as within the NHS as a qualified and accredited psychotherapist.

Living in a world that constantly bombards us with too many demands and responsibilities can affect even the most resilient amongst us.  Stress can be experienced in the mind and body and impact everyday activities and relationships. This in turn affects our wellbeing and quality of life.  Problems we normally take in our stride can seem like mountains that are just too high to climb alone.  It is at these times, seeking therapeutic help is the wisest and effective action you can take.  Finding the right person to support or walk part of that journey with you can help you make sense of your complex thoughts, feelings and how your patterns of behaviour may be keeping you stuck. But equally important, is to know how you can make positive and lasting changes.  With counselling, relaxation techniques, and the proven tools and techniques of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy combine to help you gain insight, to cope and to change, along with support to do this is key to developing the calmer and more focused life that you want to live.

I offer a calm, caring and genuine listening ear, where I seek to understand and not judge. I offer you a space which gives you the opportunity to “see the wood for the trees” as you work from a variety of therapy options towards finding a solution to your problem. Helping you to explore and unravel the complex thoughts and emotions is where I can help. You will have complete confidence to explore any thoughts, feelings and new ways of coping, knowing they will be understood, respected and remain in total confidence.

Working as a mental health professional and as a Yoga teacher for many years has brought me a great deal of experience of how the body holds emotions in the form of pain and tension.  My vast and varied experience in various therapies  will help you to find ways to cope with stress, addictions, anxiety and many other complex issues and to support you back to a place where you feel balanced once more and better able to take things in your stride as you did before.
I offer face to face counselling and online therapy sessions. My practice is located in a warmly welcoming and quiet location, it is private and personal confidentiality is assured in North Warwickshire. There is free parking directly outside the therapy centre.

Further information

You can contact me by email or mobile phone.  Following this, if you would like, I will offer to see you for an introductory session. This gives you a chance to experience working with me and to decide if you think we could work together therapeutically. It will also provide you an opportunity to ask any further questions you may have about counselling and support. It gives us both an opportunity to get some idea of what you are seeking and how best I may be part of helping you to improve your current situation.
