Carol McCammon MBACP., MNCS (ACCRED)
I am a Dungannon based Senior Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society and Registered Member of BACP. My aim as a counsellor is to offer a non-judgemental space for adults and teenagers.
I work as an Integrated Counsellor offering short or long term work. I tailor counselling to suit my clients needs using a person centred model of counselling. When appropriate I also offer a more directive approach of cognitive behaviour therapy using the Mind Over Mood Model of Developing Healthy Patterns of Thinking giving the client the opportunity to address effective change and enhanced wellbeing.
I work with issues including Personal Development, Depression, Anxiety/Stress, Bereavement/Loss, General counselling, Identity Issues, Marriage issues (individual not couple therapy), Post-traumatic stress, Relationships, Self Esteem, Spirituality, Trauma, Anger Management and Work related issues.
As well as having significant experience counselling adults I have also worked for a number of years as a schools counsellor counselling young people aged 12 - 18. This has led to a special interest in working with teenagers to help them build resilience to deal with daily struggles. To help them become more positive, to grow in confidence and self esteem and become more resilient.
