I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Presently, I work from comfortable counselling rooms in Upton, a short distance from Chester city centre.
I presently volunteer as a counsellor at a local charity, supporting individuals touched by cancer and their families. I have also worked at a local women’s support centre and I provide mental health support to higher education students. For several years, I worked as a teacher, supporting students with additional needs to access the curriculum and to achieve their best.
Making the decision to attend counselling can be difficult, so I would like to reassure you that at ‘Room to Grow’ I can provide a welcoming, safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings with the support of an experienced, non-judgemental counsellor. My approach is person-centred which emphasises the importance of a good relationship between the counsellor and client. I would welcome the opportunity to work with you and be a part of your journey.
