Carol Harrington MNCS Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor
I am passionate about counselling after many years of seeing people benefit from it. We all want peace of mind, not to be troubled by difficult emotions, anxieties and depression and we want happiness. Counselling can help steer a path towards this.
I am an experienced integrative counsellor and supervisor having worked with a host of issues, particularly trauma, bereavement and loss of all kinds. My role is to listen to you, maybe use creative methods if you would like to, or if it is hard for you to talk, and help you understand what is going on for you from a different perspective. I do not give advice but rather my task is to enable you explore your options and help you find solutions whether that is acceptance and coming to terms with your situation or looking at changes.
Being listened to with kindliness in a safe and confidential environment by someone who is not personally or emotionally involved in your situation can enable you to gain insight and make sense of your feelings and what is going on in your life.
Coming for counselling may feel daunting for you but I would encourage you to get in touch, have an initial session and see how you feel, or contact me by phone or email if you have any questions. I would be happy to hear from you whether you are looking for some short term therapy or long term work.
I offer a cheaper rate for initial session and also some concessionary rates.
I am a practising Buddhist, nature lover, veg grower and dog owner/walker. Maybe your footsteps will lead to my door and I look forward to meeting you.
