About me

Hello, I am a counsellor with many years experience empowering adults to bring change into their lives, changes in feelings, thoughts and behaviour. As a compassionate listener I endeavour to enable clients to gain insight into themselves, find a way forward and work towards peace of mind. My work experience covers working with a range of issues but I have a particular interest in trauma, abuse and bereavement. I am also an accredited supervisor for counsellors and others working in supporting professions. As an integrative counsellor I may use and suggest a variety of methods such as creative tools, mindfulness, journal writing... As each person is a unique individual I try to find a way that will particularly be helpful to you, whether you want short term work to deal with a particular issue, or more long term work to gain deeper understanding of yourself. I think being welcoming and kindly is an important aspect of my work and I would hope that you would feel comfortable in my room, although that is in virtual space at the moment. It is a time to step outside of your life for a short while and attend to yourself in a way that most of us don’t in our busy lives – some special time just for you. I offer a reduced rate for video/phone sessions, although if that is difficult for you we can negotiate a further reduction. You are welcome to get in touch and make an enquiry, there is no obligation to book a session!  About me personally - I am a practising Buddhist, nature lover, veg grower and dog owner/walker..
