Carol Harrington MNCS Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor
41 Bridge Street
Hello, if you are feeling alone, are troubled, anxious and stressed out, I believe that counselling can help you find a way forward. Having a quiet, non-judgemental and caring space to explore and come to terms with your thoughts and emotions can help bring a sense of healing and the development of inner peace.
Life throws things at us, expected or sudden events can upset us and leave us feeling overwhelmed, maybe numb or in a state of panic and finding it hard to carry on. Being listened to with kindliness in a safe and confidential environment by someone who is not personally or emotionally involved in your situation can enable you to gain insight and make sense of your feelings and what is going on in your life.
I am passionate about counselling after many years of seeing people benefit from it. My task is to listen to you, maybe use creative methods if you would like to, or if it is hard for you to talk, and help you understand what is going on for you from a different perspective. I do not give advice but rather my role is to enable you explore your options and help you find solutions whether that is acceptance and coming to terms with your situation or looking at changes.
Coming for counselling may feel daunting for you but I would encourage you to get in touch, have an initial session and see how you feel, or contact me by phone or email if you have any questions. I would be happy to hear from you whether you are looking for some short term therapy or long term work.
I offer a cheaper rate for initial session and also some concessionary rates are available.
