I am a Person-Centred Counsellor,registered and accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy,and fully committed to abiding with the Ethical Framework of the BACP, which informs my practice. You can be assured of my warmth, confidentiality and professionalism.

The first step is to arrange an initial session to discuss what you would like to achieve from counselling, how I work, and an opportunity for you to ask me questions.
If you decide that counselling is for you, and we both feel we can work together, then we can arrange some further meetings. Sessions are usually weekly, at a specified time and last for 50 minutes.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The Association of Christian Counsellors and Linked Professions is a professional body representing and setting standards for Christian counselling and care in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.

- My Counselling fee is on a Sliding scale of £60 to £75 per session (negotiable depending on circumstances).
- Payment can be made by cash, cheque or Bank Transfer
- There may be occasions when you need to cancel, and I will try to accommodate you where possible.
- However, I do ask for at least 48 hours notice, or I will need to charge you for the missed session.

I'm able to offer both short-term counselling - typically 6 or 12 sessions - and open-ended counselling, which continues until you feel ready to stop. We can agree how many sessions feel appropriate when we first meet, and then adjust that to meet your needs as we progress. The whole process is all about helping you, at your preferred pace.
Please Note that only the Watford centre has Disabled Access –i.e. suitable for wheelchairs.
