As a highly qualified and experienced psychotherapist and supervisor I am committed to helping you deal with difficult feelings such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues self confidence. I see therapy as an opportunity to explore these issues in a supportive, respectful and confidential setting. Together, we can come to a clearer understanding of the nature of your distress and its underlying causes.
As individuals, we are not always fully aware of our unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour, some of which may have been established in early life. Once we become more aware of the underlying causes of our distress, we can develop new ways to manage our situation. New insight enables us to change how we feel about ourselves and how we relate to others allowing us to move forwards.
Many clients say they feel happier, more in control of their lives and that they have better relationships as a result of therapy. Of course, there are things in life we cannot control but we may be able to manage our feelings about them in a more helpful way.
I am also trained in EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique (sometimes known as "Tapping.") This is a fast and effective technique which involves you tapping on key meridian points to reduce anxiety and improve performance.
I have experience in a wide range of issues including:
abuse, anger, anxiety, depression, bereavement, lack of confidence, relationships, self-image, sexuality, stress, workplace issues.
You do not need to have an identified reason to seek therapy. Sometimes people know that that they just don’t “feel right” or that they are somehow not achieving their full potential. We can explore these feelings in therapy.
My practice is in a comfortable room in Kibworth.
