About me

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor who specialises in working with young people, adolescents and adults (12 - 30 years old)

My experience:

I have been running my own private practice since 2011.

I have 13 years experience working with children and adolescents in educational and therapeutic settings.

I am currently work at The Priory Psychiatric Hospital Chelmsford -Adolescent Inpatient ward. I have recently changed my role from Teaching assistant on the ward to Therapy Assistant. I have been working there for the last 8 years. Within the Adolescent Inpatient ward we support young people from (11yr-18yr) with all types of mental health issues, for example: generalised anxiety disorder GAD, severe depression, Psychosis/drug induced psychosis and borderline personality disorder. As part of my job role I facilate and assist therapy groups such as; DBT (Dialectual Behavioural Therapy) CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Exploring my senses Group, Mindfulness group and Multi Family Group. I also counsel a few inpatients and put input into their individual treatment plan from admission to discharge, by attending regular meetings with the team (MDT) and attend all meetings regarding my patients care, this also includes communicating with patients community CAMHS teams.

I am also a Sessional CAMHS Therapist for Out patients at The Priory Psychiatric Hospital Chelmsford and have been for last 4 years.

I have also worked at Basildon MIND as a Child and Adolescent counsellor for 3 years as part of my training.
