About me

I provide psychodynamic psychotherapy/counselling, consisting of one-to-one confidential meetings. It is an opportunity to discuss difficulties which arise in love relations, in the workplace or in life generally.

My practice is based both in New Malden and in the Waterloo area. 

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Counselling provide the opportunity to discuss any concerns or difficulties which may be getting in the way of leading a full life. It can also be used to discuss feelings which may have been buried but have now surfaced for various reasons.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy/Counselling is effective in addressing the following:

Training, qualifications & experience

Professionally trained in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at WPF Therapy, one of the leading institutions in the UK. WPF is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I have a WPF Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice from Roehampton University.

I have also completed training in DIT (WPF) and Introduction to Group Work (Group Analysis North). I use CBT, Mindfulness and Mentalisation when needed.

I am a member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC) and the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). My practice complies with the Ethical Framework of the BACP.

I am a qualified Supervisor.

British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.

BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

For New Malden, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, it is a 10-minute walk from New Malden train station, opposite the 213 bus stop and a 15-minute walk from the 57 bus stop located on Coombe Lane West.  It is in easy reach by car from Wimbledon, Surbiton, Norbiton, Hampton Court, Esher, Thames Ditton, Hinchley Wood and other areas accessible by the A3. Car parking is available

My room at Waterloo, SE1 is a 10-minute walk from Waterloo station and a 3-minute walk from Lambeth North underground.

Further information

I worked with the front-line clinical staff at the London Ambulance Service. This work covered areas of trauma, bereavement, stress.

I also have extensive experience working with clients in Time-Limited Psychotherapy.
