About me
Are you fed up with feeling fed up, is your anxiety causing anxiety? When you work with me there's no homework, no pressure, simply a non-biased champion by your side to help you move forward in a more comfortable, confident way.
Do you need a listening ear, someone to talk to outside your immediate circle of family and friends, a way to work through the challenges in your life? Some areas where counselling may be helpful are low mood, anxiety, grief, relationship problems, lack of confidence, going to university, ageing, menopause, children leaving home, coping with illness, depression, anger and general feelings of being unable to cope with day-to-day demands.
I’m a qualified Therapeutic Counsellor based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and Worcestershire - I work online so this means you can be anywhere in the UK.
I listen with complete confidentiality, I am here for you and will not judge you or tell you what to do – my aim is to help you to find your own solutions.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling for adults and am qualified to counsel children and young people. I am a member of the The National Counselling Society; undertake regular professional development; have an enhanced DBS (previously Criminal Records Bureau) certificate and hold professional insurance.
I have additional training in Rewind Trauma Therapy for PTSD, elements of NLP, psychology, transactional analysis and have gained certificates in Counselling Skills, Mental Health Awareness, Suicide Prevention, Anxiety and Panic Management. I have worked as a Health Advisor and Certified Smoking Cessation practitioner.
Before my counselling career I spent more than 30yrs as a commercial designer and artist - I worked collaboratively with clients to produce results that they felt really proud of - much like the work I do now!
