About me

Whether you’re grappling with anxiety, anger, low mood, relationship challenges, trauma, neglect, or self-esteem struggles, I’m here to offer you a safe, supportive space to explore and make sense of it all. Perhaps you’re longing for a deeper understanding of your experiences, searching for a healing approach that feels right, and someone who truly understands and listens with care?

Welcome to a space where you can begin to heal, grow, and rediscover your strength.

I work with individuals across Surrey, Hampshire, and Berkshire in person, and online UK-wide, offering a compassionate and professional approach to therapy. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or other struggles, I’m here to support you in making sense of it all and finding a way forward.

A Holistic and Tailored Approach to Your Needs

As a master’s-level integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to create a way of working that’s uniquely suited to you. With a first-class degree in psychology and a master’s in integrative psychotherapy, I bring both extensive knowledge and real-life understanding to our sessions. By blending person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT), along with insights from neuroscience, I aim to meet you exactly where you are, offering tools and perspectives to help you move forward.

How Our Work Together Can Help

 • Person-Centred Therapy: You’ll have a safe, non-judgmental space to be fully yourself, explore your feelings, and grow in confidence at your own pace.

 • Psychodynamic Therapy: Together, we’ll uncover how your past experiences, especially early relationships, may be shaping your present struggles, helping you gain deeper self-awareness and understanding.

 • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): This practical, goal-focused approach helps you change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours, equipping you with tools to manage life’s challenges more effectively.

Beyond these approaches, I also incorporate neuroscience and interpersonal neurology into our work. This means we’ll explore how your body and mind are connected—how your experiences are held within you physically and emotionally—and develop ways to calm your responses to stress and triggers.

Walking Alongside You with Empathy and Understanding

Having overcome my own history of adversity, I know firsthand how overwhelming life’s challenges can feel. This personal insight allows me to create a space where you’ll feel genuinely seen, heard, and cared for—free from judgment, shame, or dismissal. My aim is to walk beside you as you navigate your story, helping you find clarity, peace, and resilience.

What My Clients Say

Hearing how others have experienced therapy can often make the process feel less daunting. Here’s some feedback from people I’ve worked with:

 • “I finally feel understood and seen.”

 • “Caralisa helped me find clarity and peace.”

 • “I feel lighter and more hopeful after our sessions together.”

 • “I’m learning to trust myself again.”

 • “My sessions with Caralisa have changed my perspective on life.”

 • “Walking and talking in nature with Caralisa has been truly transformative.”

Therapy That Fits Your Life

I work with individuals aged 16 and above, across all genders and sexualities, offering both in-person sessions and online support. In addition, I provide nature-based therapy, where we take our conversations outdoors into beautiful, natural settings. Walking and talking in nature can be deeply grounding, helping you process emotions, reduce stress, and feel a renewed sense of calm and connection.

Why Choose Me?

I understand how difficult it can be to share your vulnerabilities with someone new. That’s why I focus on creating a warm, empathic, and safe environment where you feel supported and respected. Whether you’re looking to explore your past, heal from trauma, or simply find a way to cope with life’s stresses, I’m here to help you reconnect with yourself and discover your inner strength.

Take the First Step

If you’re ready to begin making sense of your experiences, healing from past hurts, and building a more peaceful future, I’m here for you. Let’s work together to help you feel more in control, more connected, and more hopeful.

You don’t have to face this alone. Reach out today, and let’s start this journey together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
