About me

Hello, you are here I am guessing because you are worried about a child or teenager in your life or you are a Therapist and looking for Clinical Supervision. I offer both face to face and online counselling/therapy  & Supervision which is creative arts psychotherapy based.

Maybe the child or teenager you are concerned about are acting out and you just don’t know what to do next, maybe they have been through a difficult experience recently or in the past and need some help processing what happened to them. Or it could be that you see they are just really unhappy right now and need some help to feel happy again.

I’ve worked with many children and teenagers over the years and I want to be able to offer you and your child a safe, homely environment to explore what is going on for you and them right now so that you can begin to feel better about yourselves.

As parents and adults caring for children and young people we want them to be happy and to have many positive experiences as they grow however life isn't always easy and just like adulthood children's lives can throw up all kinds of painful experiences and big feelings.

Adults experiencing difficult experiences usually talk things through with a trusted person but children often use play and creativity to explore their life experiences and the therapy I offer nurtures this natural ability in the child or young person and helps them to make sense of their worries and muddled thoughts and feelings. There is no pressure for them to talk as they can express through creativity.

Follow the link to my website and you will be able see in more detail how creative arts therapy can help with exploring personal issues and experiences. In the meantime here is some information about me and how I can help you to support the child or adolescent you are concerned for.

I did my Clinical Supervision Certificate in 2021 in Creative Supervision and supervise both child & adolescent creative therapists and educational practitioners such as Emotional Literacy Mentors & Teaching Assistants.

I am a Child & Adolescent Therapist, specialising in Creative Arts Psychotherapy. After training I was originally Accredited with Play Therapy UK but I have now chosen to be a registered therapist with BACP & NCPS..

I am on the Accredited Register of BACP  & NCPS and this registers  are accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). www.bacpregister.org.uk/check_register/ and www.nationalcounsellingsociety.org/counsellors/ncs22-00246

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
