About me
Byron Harris is the founder and head of Harris
I am the founder and head of Harris Plus Health Ltd, a company dedicated to providing trauma-informed, pluralistic counselling services. With my advanced diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling and a focus on trauma-informed practices, my approach to counselling is centred around the individual, not their problems.
At the same time, I am committed to ongoing personal and professional development and evidence-based practice. Pluralistic counselling, to me, is a multi-tool kit approach to therapy. Just like a handyman has a variety of tools at their disposal to tackle any task, I have a range of techniques and strategies to address my client's unique needs and concerns. Each client is unique and may require a different combination of tools to achieve their goals, so I use my expertise to select the most appropriate tools for each client, creating a tailored and personalized approach to therapy.
I work flexibly to meet the needs of each of my clients and I am committed to providing a warm and friendly environment where people can feel comfortable and safe. With my expertise and compassionate approach, I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives.
