About me

I am a counsellor and psychotherapist who has been working in the profession since 2005, helping people to cope through difficult stages of life, to improve their relationships, manage anxiety and depression. I will support your journey of exploring emotional traumas, recovering a sense of self and finding direction for your life. I am able to offer a safe calm space for each session. I am genuinely a calm and caring person who will offer you active listening, empathy and clinical insights. I have also worked in education in various capacities for 14 years with young people and their families. I support young people who are dealing with behavioural challenges, low educational attainment, poor communication skills, family issues and other difficulties.

Anxiety and depression can alter your life by preventing you from achieving your goals and reaching your full potential. Facing challenges and being overwhelmed with anxiety and feeling sad can put a strain on your relationships and productivity in life. Collaborating together we can identify strategies that can make a difference in regaining control, help you to cope better, challenge negative thought processes and gives you a greater sense of well-being.

Counselling will give you a safe space to talk, reflect, explore and gain a greater understanding of your circumstances, especially when life feels too much to bear and confusing. Life events sometimes expose us to uncertainty and painful situations. However, having someone to share your thoughts and feelings with can provide understanding, offer clinical insights, support to find solutions and help to reduce anxiety
