About me
When life feels overwhelming, it's beneficial to have someone to talk to. Counselling provides an opportunity to explore your feelings and discuss difficult issues and life events openly and freely. It can help you discover new ways of thinking and coping with challenges.
I offer a safe, caring, and confidential environment for you to explore the reasons you're seeking counselling. As a qualified integrative counsellor, I incorporate different approaches tailored to your needs, whether we're meeting face-to-face, by phone, or via Zoom. I'm available for both short-term and long-term counselling, with flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
To help you decide if we're a good fit, I offer a free 30-minute exploratory session with no obligation.
My practice encompasses work with children, young people, and adults. With years of experience in the education sector and various organizations, I've had the privilege of working with clients ranging from 7 to 80 years old.
As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to their code of ethics, ensuring professional and ethical standards in my practice.
“Over my teenage years I’ve had many counsellors through the ups and downs of life, although I never really felt comfortable with them, until I met Bridgette! I really clicked with her calming energy; and the creative methods she used really changed my perspective on how to process my emotions. I always looked forward to seeing her and it was the favourite part of my week. Although I no longer see her, I still use the methods and techniques she taught me on my down days. She has a very gentle presence and has helped me become the person I’ve needed to be, I really couldn’t recommend her more.”

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
