After graduating in Criminology and Criminal Justice I engaged in numerous years of work with adults and young people involved in the Criminal Justice System. This experience led to me pursuing a career in Counselling after recognising the level of mental health issues that communities and individuals experience.
I then engaged in community counselling services and suicide prevention and bereavement services, which has extended my experience in a wide range of mental health and life issues.
Recognising the void in provision of counselling for the BAME community led to me engaging in becoming a co-founder of a BAME counselling service provision.
