About me

Counselling offers you a safe and confidential place to talk about issues that may be causing you distress or anxiety.  Counselling can support you with ways to move through difficulties in your life.

I am a person centred, integrative counsellor and use a wide range of skills and techniques from a variety of training and CPD to fit with the tailored needs of individual clients.  I have experience in a variety of community counselling settings and have worked with a wide range of issues including anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, bereavement, suicide prevention, suicide bereavement, criminal offending, addictions, etc.

Please phone or email me to arrange a time for an initial assessment, when we will explore your needs and see if I am the right therapist for you.  Weekly appointments in a safe and non-judgemental space will give you an opportunity to establish a therapeutic relationship that can support therapeutic change.

Further information

After graduating in Criminology and Criminal Justice I engaged in numerous years of work with adults and young people involved in the Criminal Justice System. This experience led to me pursuing a career in Counselling after recognising the level of mental health issues that communities and individuals experience.

I then engaged in community counselling services and suicide prevention and bereavement services, which has extended my experience in a wide range of mental health and life issues.

Recognising the void in provision of counselling for the BAME community led to me engaging in becoming a co-founder of a BAME counselling service provision.

I have a cogent appreciation of a wide range cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
