I am a qualified counsellor who has experience working with individuals who are in crisis or experiencing difficulty in their lives. I work with adults who feel low of mood, experiencing symptoms of anxiety or stress, under going life transitions or simply seeking freedom from difficult feelings or thoughts that need to be expressed.
I also work with adults who are stuck in unhealthy behaviours that no longer seem to serve them, which they want to change and also understand. This could be in romantic and family relationships, daily behaviours or at work.
I offer open-ended therapy, which has no time limit meaning you can have as many on going sessions, as you feel you need. I also offer short-term counselling (6-12 sessions) which can be affective in dealing with recent immediate difficulties such as redundancy, relationship breakdown or loss.
My role is to help guide and support you in generating greater self-awareness and insight into your difficulties. I can also help you strengthen your coping abilities and resilience in facing and managing challenging situations or life transitions. My role is to also help you enhance your mental wellness and well-being and I will support you with any changes you wish to make.
I work within a confidential, and friendly setting for you to safely discuss and clarify your thoughts, feelings and difficulties within a space that is respectful and at your pace.
I use a psychodynamic model of counselling, which focuses on how past experiences can affect and shape who you are, why you think and act the way you do and the impact this has on you and your relationships.
My private practice is based in central Bedford with toilet facilities and has on street parking.
