About me

My name is Blandine Cummins and I am a Qualified Level 4 CPCAB counsellor based in Jersey. I offer online sessions in English or French as well as face-to-face counselling support.

As far back as I can remember, I’ve been very curious about how other people see the world. As a young person, I started by immersing myself in music and writing songs to better understand the thoughts, emotions and reactions of others. Later on, I studied psychology and counselling which helped me understand myself better.

I have always been fascinated by the possibility that the awareness of the differences between people may be a way to unite us, instead of pulling us apart. I realised that my journey towards self-awareness and acceptance of my own differences could have benefits for, as well as satisfy my curiosity about, other people.

Being a therapist is a way for me to fulfil my own need to experience safe and authentic relationships with others, whilst at the same time supporting them in their search for happiness.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

Together we can explore your situation in a way that leads to fresh perspectives and perhaps a new understanding of yourself.

Counselling offers a confidential and safe space, where you can openly explore your feelings without the risk of being judged.

It offers the opportunity for you to look at what is really going on in your life and to help make sense of any confusion or turmoil you may be experiencing. It provides a space where unhelpful behaviour patterns can be safely challenged and potentially changed to gain a deeper sense of freedom and control over your life.
