About me
Hello, my name is Bjorn Ventris and I am a relationship and sex therapist based in Hackney, London. I work with couples and individuals from all backgrounds and orientations to help them improve their relationships and sex lives.
Some issues I help clients with include: open and polyamorous relationships, mismatched or low desire, improving communication, dealing with conflict, long term commitment, infidelity and rebuilding trust, improving intimacy, working to end relationships on good terms, consensual non-monogamy, stepfamilies, erectile dysfunction, rapid or retarded ejaculation, pain during sex, vaginismus problematic pornography use & compulsive sexual behaviour
You are the expert on you and your relationships, and it is my job to help you solve your own problems. In therapy, we will work collaboratively to explore unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour and uncover what is causing them. With that increased awareness you then have the choice to do something different and lead a happier and more fulfilled life.
The therapeutic relationship, i.e. the relationship between you and your therapist, is the most important factor in successful therapy, so it is important you find someone you can trust and relate to. I work face-to-face and online from my garden office in Hackney.
Training, qualifications & experience
My primary training is as a psychosexual and relationship therapist. I have experience working in private practice and NHS settings with all kinds of psychosexual and relationship issues, working on short or long-term basis depending on clients needs and resources.
