About me

Hello my name is Bina and am a qualified Accredited counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am also an accredited member of BABCP and a qualified Cognitive Behavioural therapist.

Sometimes in life we are confronted with a situation or with problems which can be overwhelming. We can feel stuck, confused or anxious.Counselling provides a regular time and space for clients to talk about their problems and explore difficult feelings in a safe, caring, confidential and non judgemental environment.

I have been trained integratively which means I work with different approaches to tailor and suit my clients. Recently I have trained to work as an HI CBT therapist (Cognitive Behavioural therapies). I also work with people with long term health conditions.

Counsellors do not offer advice but instead help the client to gain insight and understanding of their thought patterns and behaviours. Currently I am a PCPT therapist and provide short term therapy for NHS clients. I have worked with a wide range of issues like depression, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, low self esteem, bereavement and many more areas of mental health problems. I have also worked with victims of sexual abuse and rape.I offer short term or long term therapy. It is my aim to support and to listen to my clients and help them with their difficult times.

How I work
I work in an integrative way which enables me to use different types of therapies depending on the needs of my client. Counselling provides a regular time and space for clients to talk and explore difficult feelings in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.

I am based in Gravesend and offer support to people over 18 years of age. As a counsellor I do not give advice but help you gain insight and understanding into your issues and problems. I can also communicate in Hindi and Gujarati.

British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists.

BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
