The Cheap Street Rooms

I am an Integrative counsellor; my Person-Centred training has also incorporated Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt models. I work with individuals in Frome, helping people address a wide range of personal issues. I have a deep interest in people and am committed to working with integrity, equality and honesty.
The counselling process allows you to chose between working short term on a particular issue, or over a longer period, providing the opportunity to explore deeper and more embedded aspects present in your life.
We will work collaboratively, understanding what is being brought to the room and making sense of it together in an environment of safety and respect. In our work together you are encouraged to deepen your self-awareness, this may impact positively upon your relationship with self, others and your environment. By building a deeper understanding and care for yourself- your perspectives can broaden and you are able to take responsibility for change thus shifting the dynamics of any self limiting beliefs or narratives to create room and energy for more fulfilling and authentic ways of being.
I have lived a life of broad and alternative experience which has enabled me to work responsively, making connections with many different people who have brought the complexities of their lives into our sessions together. My practice room is a confidential space where any difficulty can be voiced and the challenge of living encountered.
I take my own development seriously and continue training. I am undertaking a post qualifying Advanced Diploma in Intersubjective approaches to relational psychotherapy and counselling. I commit to my own personal therapy and attend regular supervision for my private client work.
In addition to my private client work I have worked in agency settings that include: SARSAS- a specialist sexual violence charity, Bristol. Turning Point, (Wiltshire Substance Misuse Service), Trowbridge. Low Cost Counselling, Bristol.
My current fee is £38 per hour and sessions are for one hour on a weekly basis. I have some reduced fee sessions available to those on a low income, please do enquire. I also work outside office hours on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Sessions at The Cheap Street Rooms are centrally located in Frome with lots of nearby parking.
