Bilgi McDermott, BA, MA INTEGRATIVE Psych, Clinical Hypnotherapist, UKCP reg.
Are you looking for a counsellor/psychotherapist in West and Central London?
My name is Bilgi McDermott and I am a qualified and experienced Integrative Psychotherapist.Therapy offers you a chance to talk through your problems in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential setting. It is an opportunity to express and explore your thoughts and feelings in a deep and reflective way. This brings about self understanding.
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist this means I use a number of difference approaches to empower my clients to achieve their goals. Everything about healing comes down to one simple rule: recognise and affirm your emotions and you have the power to control them. I use select methods of integrative psychotherapy, relaxation, visualization, mindfulness meditation and related methods to achieve these goals.
My approach to self-transformation is based on learning to affirm the present moment, undoing learned past patterns of thinking and behaviour, and setting goals for the future.
I specialise in relieving:
- nervousness in social situations
- panic attack
- improving self confidence
- setting up personal goals and reaching them.
I also use CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Brief Therapy when appropriate for immediate issues.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and fully accredited by the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy). I am also a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist.
I hold a B.A in Business Studies and an M.A in Integrative Psychotherapy (Middlesex University)
