It takes courage to make the first step towards having counselling. Life can be complex and we can all hit points where we find life overwhelming. I can help you to work through how you feel in a safe and warm setting. It's really important to find a counsellor you are comfortable with, after our initial consultation you can decide if you want to carry on working with me.
I have a particular interest in stress and anxiety which in my experience seems to be the underlying root of most problems. Maybe you are struggling with relationship or family issues, or work isn't going to well. Perhaps you have health issues or general low self esteem. Counselling could help you understand these problems and how to manage them in a more constructive way. Sometimes we simply just get stuck at a point in our lives and don't feel happy - I could help you to work through this and see what's going on or simply just give you a chance to be heard.
Clients come to counselling for a wide range of issues including:
- Anxiety and Stress
- Family difficulties
- Panic attacks
- Lack of confidence and self esteem
- Work Problems
- Personal development
Seeing a counsellor could help you look at what is going on in your life and help you to find the answers that you need. You can talk about anything that is worrying you in a respectful and confidential setting. I would welcome the opportunity to work with you, to help you through the difficulties and look at the choices open to you. Having a chance to talk about things with someone who has no other place in your life can often help.
Sessions last 50 minutes. If you are not sure about counselling you are welcome to contact me and discuss this.
