About me

Thank you for stopping by. Life at times can be challenging, events or life's experiences can surface that leave us feeling isolated, vulnerable and anxious. I work from an integrative framework which allows me to adapt my approach to meet each individual needs.

Some experiences, despite being in the past can impact on everyday living in the here and now. This can steer us towards feelings of anxiety, depression, anger and frustration, impacting our ability and confidence to cope.

You may have an explicit issue such as anxiety, low self-esteem that you would like to address. My style of counselling has been described as "caring, compassionate, and supportive".

I provide an environment that ensures confidentiality, is safe, nurturing environment where you can discover your true, authentic self and experience a happier you. This confidential and supportive environment enables you to express and explore your thoughts and feelings without being judged.

I work with people aged 21 years and older and as long as an amicable working relationship is established no one will be turned away.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified and registered counsellor holding a Diploma Therapeutic Counselling. This is and integrative qualification which means I am able to be guided by various models.

I have experience of working with people who suffer with shame, victims of abuse, bereaved clients and for the past year have worked as a volunteer at Community Counselling Services and the Rising Sun in Canterbury, both offers affordable therapy to the local community.

Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).

As part of my process of ongoing CPD I have also attended workshops that have included:

  • Awareness in Domestic Violence
  • Development in Trauma Theory
  • Trauma and the Brain
  • Working with Anxiety
  • Working with OCD
  • Working with survivors of child sexual abuse
  • Working with Transference and Counter-transference
