About me

For most people and couples, life is not always plain sailing and whilst many situations can be self- resolved, there are times when the feelings or issues become too much.  Right now you may be at that point and considering professional counselling.  Let me assure you that no matter how bad your situation it is possible for you to work through it and my passion is to help people work through their dark times and back into the light.

My training and experience enables me to use of a variety of therapeutic models to gently work alongside you and help you discover ways to manage the distress that brought you to counselling.

As your counsellor I will listen, be supportive and non-judgemental and will provide a warm, comfortable and safe environment enabling you to share freely in complete confidence and explore the difficulties you face, re-discover your strengths and make changes in your life.

For individuals, the first meeting would be without charge and is an assessment, enabling you to share what has brought you for counselling and what you would like to achieve through the counselling process.  It is also an important opportunity for you to ask questions and to help you to decide whether you feel there is a basis for beginning regular sessions. I will not put any pressure on you and you do not have to decide there and then.

My practice is in the Canford Heath area of Poole and I have a dedicated counselling room there.
