About me

The struggles we meet in our lives can become overwhelming. I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can share whatever you are facing and together we can explore your experience, feelings and choices; helping you to discover your own way forward.

I have a wide range of experience working with different challenges people may face including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, PTSD, relationship and family difficulties, bereavement, self-esteem struggles, emotional and sexual abuse, suicidal feelings, addiction, mental health difficulties and counselling for self development.

I work with a client-centered approach, meaning that you are empowered to move through counselling in ways that meet you and your experiences as an individual. I incorporate this with other psychotherapeutic approaches that may be suited to your needs and effective for the specific struggles you are facing.

My therapy room is a peaceful, private space 5-10 mins walking distance from Glastonbury town centre. I work with adults and children, individuals and couples. This can be long or short term counselling face to face or via the telephone.

I have a standard fee of £45 per session. I offer a concessionary rate for those whose personal circumstances require a reduced fee and for trainee counsellors. Please feel free to ask about this.

I also offer the opportunity to incorporate Creative Therapy alongside talking therapy. This might involve the use of  paint, clay, crafts, movement, sound, sand-play, poetry... whatever you are drawn to that helps you to explore and discover within a warm, non-judgmental environment.

"Every human being has the capacity to be creative... what is creative is frequently therapeutic. What is therapeutic is frequently a creative process... using the expressive arts to foster emotional healing... and awaken individual creativity is an increasingly expanding field." ~ Natalie Rogers

Training, qualifications & experience

I studied and gained my CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling with Strode College in Street, Somerset after working as a care and support worker for people with mental health difficulties, people with learning disabilities and elders. Studying the therapeutic process in-depth felt very much like the natural way forward for me.

I have worked for Mind and New Dawn Counselling Agencies as well as working in Private Practice. I graduated from Winchester University with a BA 1st honors in Dance and Drama Studies combined. This has served as a strong foundation for supporting clients whom choose to involve creative exploration within their therapy.

I have CPD training in many different areas including working with Mental Health Difficulties, working with Trauma and Sexual Trauma, working with Eating Disorders and working with Addiction, Creative Therapy and also Movement and dance Therapy. I am dedicated to ongoing regular Continuing Professional Development.
