About me
Acknowledging and reaching out for your mental health can be daunting and can take courage to make the first step. Are feelings become overwhelming or start to impact your daily life? This can be a sign that having a place to explore your feelings would be helpful.
What I provide
I aim to provide a warm and safe space for clients to be able to explore a wide range of issues such as Anxiety, Stress, Self-Esteem, Low Mood, Bereavement, Relationship problems (romantic, family or friends) Religious Trauma, Exploring Neurodiversity and more.
Typically I work with adults and young adults in the Bristol area. I am available to take on short and long-term clients.
"Bethan really hears me without judging which helps me accept myself. She's warm, encouraging and helpful and has a way of asking questions which helps me think about my situation from a different angle. I feel I benefit each time we speak" - Client Testimonial
My Approach
During our sessions I will get to know you and the challenges you face. We can explore coping mechanisms that can help you manage your own emotions. Overall, I want you to be in a better position to when you first started working with me.
I like to ensure you are comfortable in our session so I welcome things such as you doodling, using fidget toys or even attending an online session from the comfort of your bedroom in our sessions to help you feel more comfortable.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have volunteered at Network Counselling as a trainee and a qualified counsellor which has given me an experience of working with clients from different cultural beliefs and backgrounds.
I previously have Volunteered at Changed Bristol as a meeting facilitator and a Befriender during the pandemic which was via the phone. This experience has provided the experience of supporting members and ensuring there was a safe space for each member.
