About me

I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and accredited Counsellor. I have a wealth of therapeutic experience working with young people and adults who have experienced mental health difficulties.

I can offer both short term and long term therapy based on the client’s wellbeing needs and currently, I can offer on line therapy and telephone sessions.  During this time, therapy is monitored regularly in order to check progress and effectiveness.

I am an empathic, non-judgemental, and genuine therapist and offer a proactive and compassionate approach that can help and encourage the client to unfold their problems and feelings, which can lead to clearer insights and a better understanding of self.

There is scientific research to show that CBT can work effectively in treating a number of disorders. CBT focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviours and identifies the negative thought patterns that occur. Challenging both thoughts and behaviours are an integral part of treatment in order to overcome difficulties and to gain new perspectives.

The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of counselling as it enables trust and openness. By feeling understood and listened to, can encourage the client to explore and unfold their experiences and difficult feelings. This can enable clarity, reconnections with values, and a sense of worth. I see my role as accompanying the client on their journey of self-discovery as they progress and move forward in their life.
I can offer creative ways of working.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
