About me
I offer a client centred approach in order for you to discuss what you need during sessions. I may suggest looking at something in a creative way if I feel it could be beneficial and build more awareness. Counselling can be helpful for anyone whether you’re struggling with day to day life or you would like to learn more about yourself. I have a personal understanding of anxiety and depression and an understanding of the impact of trauma through my client work. I will provide a confidential, non-judgemental, safe space for you to explore your worries and be heard.
I offer online counselling sessions and Walk and Talk therapy. Having counselling sessions outdoors in nature can be beneficial in many ways; a way to get fresh air, walking can help to process thoughts as the body is in motion, there might be less pressure than sat opposite someone in the counselling room or online, listening to the relaxing sounds of the sea, being able to connect to nature and ground yourself in nature.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have experience counselling young people (age 16-18) as well as adults, neurodiverse and LGBT clients. With presenting issues of anxiety, depression, domestic abuse, sexual abuse.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and work within their Ethical Framework for Counselling Professionals.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
