About me
Hi, my name is Beth Laing and I am based in Tillicoultry near Stirling. At present, I offer person-centred counselling and anger management online or by phone.
Everyone would agree that we are living in hugely challenging and uncertain times! This can lead to deep feelings of sadness, anxiety or anger that can be overwhelming and completely debilitating. I am passionate about my role as a counsellor to share your story, meeting you with empathy and warmth. Counselling is essentially about having someone support you and listen when things are difficult. This gives you time to slow down and space to think things through. A lot of people wonder what counselling entails so at your first appointment, I will ask you why you have come and what you you would like to talk about in our sessions. If you would like to work with me, you can easily book further appointments online. I offer an initial free half hour phone call if you would like more information about counselling or anger management. Please email me in the first instance.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have experience working within the NHS, bereavement support in the Third Sector, and providing pastoral care for families dealing with dementia. If you would like me to speak at your workplace please email me in the first instance. I am fully insured, a member of COSCA and ACC and adhere to data protection and ethical guidelines where I attend regular professional Supervision and Continuous Professional Development.

Further information
I had the wonderful opportunity to complete some research during my MSc at Strathclyde University, on the experiences of counsellors whilst training and in practice. With mental health issues on the rise, I noticed how it is so crucial to have support and encouragement. I am offering counsellor support service to those who are either working or training in counselling. Please email me for more details.
