About me

Would you like to live a happier life? Are you feeling sad, depressed, anxious or overwhelmed and maybe don’t know why? Or maybe you do know why and want to understand more.

I’m Belinda, a qualified psychotherapist, and it’s my passion to help others overcome challenges on their path through life.

Being human and living in this world is in my opinion, difficult.

A lot of the time, we aren't necessarily suffering from a sickness or disorder; rather life is chaotic and confusing and because we aren't born with a manual, we frequently feel overwhelmed and unable to cope with the situations we find ourselves in.

This can lead us to feel depressed and physically unwell.

Life is messy and unpredictable at times; it can lead to us feeling disconnected from others and lacking in passion and meaning.

My approach to therapy is a collaborative process in which I try to immerse myself in your experience and world to gain a better understanding of how it is for you.I then work to support, question, guide, and, when necessary, challenge your views so you can come to understand why you feel and act the way you do.

Helping you to understand yourself gives you the power to change your life by making decisions and choices that are right for you.

I believe in offering a safe and non-judgemental space so that you can fully be yourself.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
