Becky Maydew, Accredited Member BACP, PG Dip, Degree Counselling
I guess something is causing difficulty in your life because you are on this page, looking for support. However, making that first call or sending an e-mail can seem a very big step. You may also worry that people judge or make assumptions about those who have counselling. Really, though, doesn't it make sense to seek help from someone who is qualified to support you. If you had car trouble wouldn't you ask a mechanic to look at it, or if you had a bad back wouldn't you make an appointment with the doctor.
In the same way, I can offer a safe and understanding place for to you to explore your issues and support you to manage these. My core approach is Person-centred which means I will listen to you without preconceived ideas, without "shoulds" or "musts", so that you have the time and space to work out what you need, in the knowledge that whatever you say is in confidence.
I am qualified to work with adults, children and young people, so if you are experiencing (as many people do):-
- PANIC ATTACKS
- LOW SELF ESTEEM/CONFIDENCE
- FEELING UNFULFILLED
- BUIDING RELATONSHIPS (also covering bullying in personal or professional relationships)
- SELF HARM
- EATING DISORDERS
- LOSS/BEREAVEMENT (including Separation, Divorce, Abortion and Redundancy)
please do not hesitate to contact me.
I work in Bromsgrove, Worcester and Redditch and could meet you in any of these areas.
