About me

I provide therapy both online and face to face seeing; individuals, couples, families, adults, young people and children...
Please note; I am currently working solely online due to Covid-19 - I see clients online via Zoom.

Individual Therapy:
Each person that comes into my practice is unique. As a result, my theoretical framework will depend on your specific needs. My approach is humanistic and integrative with Transactional Analysis as my prime theoretical model. We establish a contract which is what you want to get out of therapy and work together to achieve your desired goal.

During infancy, we develop a way of being which enables us to survive the best way we can within our environment. During our life, these strategies, which were once useful, can become destructive; as life goes on often we unknowingly replay these painful or unpleasant patterns during times of stress.

Psychotherapy enables us to 'update our software' by looking at the roots of the issue along with current elements which are sustaining them, using existing tools and developing new ones to allow you to flourish into the person you desire.

Couples Therapy:
Keep facing conflicts in your relationship?

Whether you are two people in a work related environment, friendship, family member or a romantic relationship it is important to remember that we will have differences. For example in our values or ways of communicating and these can drive rifts between us. Often our history and relationship experiences impact on our partnerships in the present. Being in a relationship can reactivate old wounds from childhood often triggering us to repeat the relationship dynamics we witnessed in our parents and care givers.

Couples therapy is different to individual therapy.

My aim is bring clarity and openness to help you develop a deep understanding of each other. From this place of understanding, differences can be negotiated allowing you to reorient towards trust and intimacy if you choose to continue in your relationship with each other.

Training, qualifications & experience

As well as my Certificate of Counselling Skills and Foundation Certificate in Transactional Analysis (TA); I have done 4 years of training in TA Psychotherapy and graduated with a Diploma in TA Practice. I am in advanced training to be a Certified Transactional Analyst.

Previous therapeutic experience ranges from treating adults within the NHS setting, supporting teenagers in secondary school and providing therapy to individuals impacted by or suffering from Cancer within a charity setting. As well as seeing a variety of clients within my private practices.
