Beatrice Mascione, Integrative Therapist - Adults and Adolescents
I believe in the power of counselling in bringing you back to you. Exploring the struggles of the past you will reconnect to your story and chose the outcome you feel you deserve.
WORKING WITH ADULTS:
When your ways of coping with challenges seem less effective than they used to, it's normal to feel powerless, stuck or overwhelmed.
Reflecting on past and present experiences we will be able to draw connections and identify areas you may find difficult to manage.
In a non-judgemental environment, I will help you find the strength within yourself to make the changes that now may feel impossible to achieve.
WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE:
Whether they have been through a traumatic event or they are struggling with the major life transitions that their age endures, for young people talking to the adults in their life may not always be possible or appropriate.
Therapy can be an opportunity to freely express their issues and explore their identity in a non-bias and confidential space. This can help them develop new coping strategies to become more in control and resilient individuals.
As sometimes finding the words can be hard, I work creatively, using alternative ways to better support your self-expression and exploration.
HOW DOES THERAPY WORK?
We will set a time for an initial, 15 minute (free) phone consultation. The purpose of this is for you to tell me the reason why you are seeking therapy now and to ask me any question about the way I work.
The first session is an opportunity for us to reflect on the events that led you to the present circumstances and to focus on the changes you would like to make during our work together. It is also a good chance for us to see whether we are a therapeutic match.
Every session lasts 50 minutes and will be held at the same time and in the same place every week. If you are late for your appointment we will still end at the agreed time.
The length of therapy may vary, you may decide you want to work on an open ended basis, or over a set period of time, depending on your goals.
We will then set regular reviews to make sure we are working in the direction you feel is right for you.
