I am a Qualified Person-Centred counsellor and a Registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), with approaching twenty years experience of counselling clients within: a well established Private Practice, the NHS, GP Surgeries and various Charities.
All of which have provided me with a wealth of understanding of life's difficulties experienced by people.
I offer a Warm, Personal, Confidential and Professional service, providing counselling to individuals and couples aged 18+ in West Lancashire and surrounding area's
All sessions will take place in a safe, nurturing therapeutic environment.
In a calm and non-judgemental way we will together explore issues that are causing you emotional distress, helping you to gain a greater self-understanding, increased self-awareness and work through past and present life experiences that are causing you difficulty. I aim to help you realise your abilities, make decisions, have more fulfilling relationships and determine your own way forward.

anxiety and/or depression, generalised anxiety disorder, low self esteem/confidence, relationship issues, having difficult and confusing feelings following a bereavement, family upset, stress, work or health related issues, life transitions, separation and divorce issues or any other challenging life experience

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I have extensive experience in counselling older people and those caring for loved ones.
Caring can be extremely challenging and, I feel keenly that all carers should have access to a range of services, including counselling.
Initial 1 hour meeting £15
Subsequent 1 Hour sessions £30 each**
** Payment for each session is payable at the booking of the session**.
Initial 1 hour meeting/session £25
Subsequent 1 hour sessions £40 each**

Female counsellor available if preferred.
Individual Supervision for qualified counsellors £45 - £60 per 1.5 hour session.
Concessions available for trainee and voluntary counsellors.
Group Supervision price on request.
Appointments are available on a weekday/evening/Saturday morning.
