About me

Would you like to find out more about yourself and why sometimes you feel as you do? Having worked extensively with people experiencing anxiety and emotional turmoil I may be able to help you.

I qualified as a Counsellor in 2000 and have for the last 17 years been working within the profession. For 10 years I was a Prison Service counsellor working with people suffering with depression and anxiety, often as a consequence of their life experiences.

Currently I work for a Substance Misuse Agency providing short-term counselling and facilitating Psycho-Social intervention groups.Prior to this I was, for 6 years, a part-time lecturer at Coleg Sir Gar in Llanelli teaching the introductory Counselling Courses.

I provide a confidential and non-judgemental service in quiet, calm surroundings giving you the opportunity to explore your situation and consider how you can make life better for yourself.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

My work as an Emotional Freedom Technique practitioner is often helpful for removing sources of blocked energy that prevent you from getting on with your life.

My fees are £25 for the first session and £35 for subsequent sessions.

For students or people on low incomes sessions will remain at £25

Please contact me to find a time for an initial meeting where we can discuss how therapy might work for you and how we can best work together. It's an opportunity for you to ask questions about what counselling is and to explore your anxieties and expectations about counselling. We can also discuss practicalities such as times and what happens if you're unable to attend.

Further information

Counselling is somewhere to offload, reflect and make sense of your life. Please get in touch if you think this is something you would like to do. We can also negotiate a time that would suit us both.
