BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

Further information

Coming into counselling can feel quite over whelming so it may help to call or email me and we can set up an initial session.  We can discuss what you want from counselling and if you're happy to continue we can arrange a 2nd meeting and see each other weekly.  I offer both short and long term counselling working through our relationship whilst offering a safe therapeutic, non judgemental environment allowing us to explore past feelings and behavioural patterns that  may be affecting your ability to live more fully in the present. The aim is to help you to achieve understanding, self-compassion and acceptance by deepening awareness of and working through the origins of such patterns and to shed light on your relationships with others and to help you to make changes if you so wish.

Availability: I am currently available via telephone or online Mon- Fri  between 10-00 am until 7-00 pm & also Saturdays between 9-00 am - 13-00 pm.
