Find Happiness & Fulfillment
Accredited & Registered Therapist specialising in CBT
I am a BACP Accredited and Registered Counsellor (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I abide by its code of ethics.
My Ethos & Approach
I work using an integrated model incorporating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Integrative and concepts within my work. I value the influences of the humanistic and person-centred approaches. CBT aims to engender change and challenge thought processes.
My ethos as a therapist is to focus on each individual, helping you identify what it is that needs changing, both psychologically and practically. We work together to identify patterns of thought and behaviour in order to evoke clear and confident change.
My approach focuses on the issues you may bring and on opportunities you may be unaware of. This process may help you to tap into your unused potential. Various techniques like relaxation and stress management can help with coping strategies.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
I offer short or long term counselling.
Sessions are for 50 minutes to 1 hour @ £60 per session.
I do offer some concessionary spaces with a lower fee available to students.
Please note that I operate a cancellation policy of a minimum 24 hours notice or full fee is chargeable.
I love to encourage individuals to be just that - individual and unique - be a unicorn in a field of horses.
As Jonathan Livingstone Seagull says:
You have the freedom to be yourself,
your true self, here and now –
and nothing can stand in your way!
