I would like to offer telephone counselling during this Covid-19 period, please feel free to contact me if you wish support with any issue including this very anxious time for us all...
There are many issues we have to deal with in our lives, some are easy to resolve, some are far harder to come to terms with and we may need the help of others. Often friends and family are too close to us to offer any subjective insight, which can make us feel there is no one who is really listening to us. Talking about very personal problems may be embarassing to share with those we know, we may feel we might be judged or rejected........ that is where Counselling can really help.
I became aware of Counselling when I needed some support myself, Counselling helped me so much that I found the courage to change how things were in my life. I changed my career and myself, which gave me the opportunity to try to help others move forward in their lives. We all deserve to have a fulfilling and purposeful life - thinking and believing in the strengths and skills we all possess within ourselves.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor. I am also a Counselling Tutor for Kent and Medway NHS. I have over 25 years experience in Counselling and have worked with both Adults and Children. I have worked with very many issues including relationship problems, domestic violence and sexual abuse. Anxiety and depession are also areas that i work in very frequently.
I have also worked in various prisons helping Inmates look at their lives and see that they may have different choices. During the 9/11 disaster I worked for The Red Cross offering counselling for those family and friends who had missing loved ones. We also had a tracing service. I was also involved with supporting witnesses during the Stephen Lawrence case.
I believe that we can all change the way we think and react to life's difficulties more positively, and that we can move on to a happier place, perhaps not a perfect place, but a different more comfortable one.
Talking with someone and exploring our lives will often help us to see things from a different perspective. Those tiny pieces of jumbled jigsaw can finally find a place to fit. I am empathic, congruent and non judgemental. I am highly motivated by the possibilities that others may not see...and personal development and the relationship plays a big part in my work. I hope I may be able to help you.
I also offer a mentoring service.
Please feel free to call me with any questions you may have - ie: how counselling works and what it involves... I am here to help ...
I work from my Counselling rooms in DA7 as well as from home SE28. Public Transport is excellent to both sites and Abbey Wood Station is nearby.
For those struggling financially I may be able to offer a discount on the price of sessions.

I am an adult Tutor for the NHS. I have worked with children on the at-risk register, and I have worked with bullying in schools. I worked for Victim Support for about 6 Years, part of which was supporting witnesses in the Stephen Lawrence case. I worked for the Red Cross in a counselling capacity during the 9/11 disaster. I have a small private practice.
My work over the past 20+ Years has involved very many diffrerent people and issues, relationship problems, anxiety issues, ghosts from the past that come back to haunt us time and again. I believe we can liberate ourselves if we have the courage to take the leap to accept some help and take someone elses supportive hand on the journey. You really can change your life.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
