About me

Based in Barnet, North London, I am an experienced psychotherapist, counsellor and hypnotherapist. As well as my private practice, I am also the core tutor for the certificate year at CPPD Counselling School in London. I am committed to the professional and ethical use of hypnotherapy and psychotherapy and work in an integrative way to help you get back on track. I specialises in stress management, relationship issues, depression, phobias, panic attacks, addiction, smoking cessation and run a very successful weight loss programme.

I believe that people need different interventions depending on their presenting issues and where they are at a particular moment in time. That is why I combine all three modalities, counselling, long and short-term psychotherapy and hypnotherapy.

How can I help?

I offer a confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can where you can any feelings or situations that may be troubling you. My job is to help you find new strategies for dealing with any difficulties you may be experiencing and help develop a fresher perspective.

My main theoretical framework is Relational Transactional Analysis (TA). The therapeutic relationship not only serves as a mirror to analyse fears, problems and needs you may experience but also, as a means to explore and discover new ways of being and relating that better fit with your life and help you in being who you want to be.

You might discover that the ways of behaving you developed in the past in order to cope with difficult situations are no longer effective. Therapy can provide a safe and confidential environment to explore and understand why you may have developed particular patterns and explore new ways of being with yourself, others and the world.

I work closely with my clients to understand their needs and together decide upon the goals and outcomes of therapy.

During the initial consultation, we will begin to assess your particular needs and agree the most appropriate therapy for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
