About me
Hello, I’m Audrey. I am a qualified relational integrative counsellor. I've been working and volunteering in support and mental health for over 15 years, and I've been working as a counsellor since 2022.
I believe that counselling can help you to find a path that feels right for you and help you to feel more able to be who you are. Counselling can support you with the challenges you may face in your life, and facilitate change to your mental and physical health. I aim to offer an accepting and affirming space for us to explore what works for you.
Sometimes people aren't sure whether therapy is right for them. You might be struggling with a specific issue – stress, worries about the future, problems in a relationship, experiencing discrimination, a loss or traumatic experience. Perhaps past experiences such as childhood abuse or neglect are interfering with present-day life. Or you may be experiencing difficulties with anxiety, depression or finding life difficult to cope with for reasons that you're unsure of. Whatever your reasons for looking for therapy, I’m happy for you to get in touch.
In addition to a safe and confidential space to talk about what is troubling you, relational counselling aims to provide a supportive, respectful and accepting relationship with your counsellor that can, in itself, help you to grow and change.
Training, qualifications & experience
Advanced Diploma in Relationally Centred Psychotherapeutic Counselling (UKCP accredited course).
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) (EMDR UK accredited course), a type of therapy that can help to process traumatic events.
I'm really interested in the impact of childhood experiences on present-day difficulties. I've therefore undertaken specific training in issues relating to: trauma, including sexual, physical and emotional abuse and neglect; attachment; bereavement and loss; dissociation, including dissociative identity disorder (DID); and issues around self-harm.
I also have significant experience in working with people who experience difficulties around issues such as disability and chronic health difficulties, sexuality, gender, neurodivergence, and difficulties in relationships, including family estrangement. I aim to practice in an affirmative way with clients identifying as LGBTQIA+ and with neurodivergent clients. If you have any questions please get in touch.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
