Life can present us with many hurdles, and we may not know how or what to do about them.
My way of working provides you a platform for you to express your thoughts and feelings and be heard.
Working with me will enable you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and when you're ready, you'll be able to make the necessary changes to live a better and fulfilling life.
I offer a flexible and attentive service with a non-judgemental and confidential approach, providing you a space to express whatever is on your mind and finding your way forward.
I am an experienced therapist and work in the Mental Health Service as a counsellor. Having many years of experience in the field of psychology, hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, my approach is very much holistic, using scientific evidence-based therapy with an intuitive mindset I can work with you to achieve your own goals.
I specialise in IPT (Interpersonal Psychotherapy) to help you with long-lasting depression. IPT is a time limited and structured psychotherapy with evidence based scientific research. It looks at the ways in which your current difficulties in relationships contribute to your psychological stress, and the ways in which psychological problems affect your relationships. It is typically long-term therapy in nature and delivered in weekly sessions. IPT aims to help you recognise the problems you face with other people and to make changes in those relationships.
I am an accredited member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), the National Counselling Society(NCS), accredited member of IPT UK, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).I work in accordance with the highest professional and ethical standards set by them.
Due to COVID-19 I currently I offer easy accessible online and telephone counselling. I also offer therapy in Bengali and Hindi (covering Urdu and Punjabi) languages.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
