Assia Bandukda (MBACP)
Hello. As an integrative counsellor for 9 years I have helped adults suffering from anxiety, depression, loss, bereavement as well as low self esteem and relationship difficulties. I provide a safe and confidential space for you to explore your difficulties. As an integrative counsellor, I can use elements from different approaches of counselling according to your needs, for example I can draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to help clients manage anxiety or negative self talk and use Psycho-dynamic insights to help a client explore the impact of childhood neglect on their way of relating to others. Regardless of the approach, you as a client are at the heart of all my therapeutic endeavours. Your needs and preferences form the basis of all our work together.
I have successfully helped clients in a variety of community settings within the NHS, within the charitable sector and in private practice. l am currently in the final part of my training as couples therapist. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy which means I follow their ethical and professional guidelines in all aspects of my work.
I have successfully worked with clients from all backgrounds and communities and celebrate the diversity of our human family. In addition to proficiency in English, I speak Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi languages if needed by my clients.
