My name is Ashley Posey, and I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor.
I believe that a holistic approach to counselling is essential to the healing process. Our emotions, physical experiences, thoughts, and spiritual beliefs are all intersecting components in the quest for optimal health and wellness.
My counselling experience and training allow me to combine a multitude of approaches and techniques, tailoring counselling sessions most effectively to your individual needs.
Some approaches used in my integrative sessions may include (but are not limited to):
- Cognitive Behavioural techniques (CBT)
- Family Systems Theory
- Art Therapy
- Person-centred, Psychoanalytic, and Humanistic methods
- Play Therapy (for younger children)
I am incredibly passionate about working with children, adolescents, and their families, as well as with those suffering from addiction and trauma-related issues. Some other areas I work with include (but are not limited to) depression, anxiety, self- harming behaviours, eating disorders, and relationship issues. I also offer a unique experience for expats seeking counselling for issues related to relocating.
I am able to provide short term or long term counselling services and can offer flexible scheduling with daytime, evening, and weekend availability. To get the most benefit from counselling, our sessions will generally be face-to-face and scheduled at regular weekly intervals for a duration of fifty minutes. If your personal circumstances prevent you from attending sessions in person, I am able to offer online therapy sessions.
